Doing so removes the Grimmchild Charm from the inventory and grants the Banishment achievement. Defeating Grimm causes the Grimm Troupe to vanish, although Divine will stay behind and upgrade the fragile charms. However, talking with Brumm in the Deepnest before collecting all three flames and following him to Howling Cliffs to quench the flame of the Nightmare Lantern will cancel the Ritual and banish the Troupe.Divines tent only stays if you beat NKG without upgrading all fragile charms. After upgrading all 3, there is still the Legeater until her tent disappears. As much as I know, banishing the Troupe removes all tents without the upgrades, leaving you with fragile charms. Oct 30, 2021 · Introduction. The Grimm Troupe DLC finds the Knight summoning the mysterious titular Grimm Troupe to the derelict town of Dirtmouth. The eponymous Troupe Master Grimm requests the Knight's aid in the Troupe's eternal Ritual to of death and rebirth. It has two possible endings, with different rewards, achievements, and characters involved. This room serves two purposes, both revolving around the Grimm Troupe. This room allows for summoning the Grimm Troupe into Dirtmouth and accessing the content pack. This room also serves the second purpose of being able to banish the Grimm Troupe from Hallownest and complete the content pack's alternative ending.

Banishing him gives a charm that gives around 20% extra hp (i think) and saves the music guy so he joins dirtmouth. If you are trying to get the grim troupe quest and update the charm, then yes, you need to have the charm equipped. Note that if you actually banish the troupe, you will lose the charm (and get a chance to get a new one), but if you are only defeating Grimm minions, the charm should stay there.
