Jul 8, 2015 · Their suggestion is to do a 'tune up' with new plugs and wires (yes, I told him it doesn't have plug wires) for about $400. The plugs are only $85 if I buy locally. He said it's about 2.5hrs labor. Even at $100 per hour it doesn't come up to $400 total. I don't know what to do at this point. 2007 JK random P0300 code intermittently. Misfires, rough idle, P0300, p0174, p2099. Last year 2018 in June I had these same codes come up with really rough idle. I changed spark plugs and wires and it came back a month later. I took it to a mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it.P0300 - Multiple/Random Cylinder Misfire. For a while, my check engine light would come on, and then go away after a while. My OBDII+Torque read P0300 and P0306. So Random/Multiple Misfires, and Cylinder 6 Misfire. I went ahead and changed out all the plugs and wires, as well as the coil pack. It stayed on through a few cycles and I got it scanned at a local O'Reillys. It's not on now - not sure if it went off itself or if O'Reilly cleared it.P0131 is The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the 1/1 Oxygen Sensor signal voltage is below the minimum acceptable value. The DTC will set as Pending after one trip and Active after two trips. Three good trips to turn off the MIL. You could have a short to ground or bad sensor. P0172 is fuel system rich.
