Constant Over Torque Faults with LR4. I've had the litter robot 4 for a little over 2 months. I'm pretty frustrated because for the past few weeks I've been getting continuous over torque faults. For the past 2 or 3 days, it just hasn't been working at all. At least it was cycling every once in a while before, but now it just won't do anything.

Intervention is limited to shaking the waste tray (to flatten out the layer of clumps) maybe every 3 days, putting a new waste bag in and topping up the litter in the bowl weekly, and cleaning it thoroughly (vacuum any loose litter around the inside, wash the inside, leave to dry, reassemble) around every 3 months.

Usually when an over torque fault occurs this is because the globe is taking more effort than usual to rotate. There can be a few causes for this, main one being the LR hasn't been cleaned in a while allowing enough litter to accumulate on the top of the base. This results in the globe having to rub against the litter causing excessive drag.Please try to remove the litter from the globe then press the “Reset” button on the robot then unplug for 10 seconds then plug it back in and let the robot cycle.
