The stock red ramp front sight on the new Python is about .045" taller than the front blade on the tritium front sight on my Night Cobra (also the blade on my new King Cobra). I'd like to have the tritium on the Python (prefer Night sights on most of my carry guns), but I wonder how much effective difference I'll see due to the height.

The Cobra / King Cobra is a modified version of the D frame, the new Python is likely some sort of amalgamation between the original I frame and the V frame, and while I could be wrong, I ...A bead goes best on a modified ramp or a Patridge blade. It has better sights then the KC, and more then likely a solid frame.
