Not sure what that means, but that is the code according to the chart. Have you tried running the transfer case thru all the modes? Reply.

D. deanot · #4 · Dec 14, 2008. Make sure your steering is straight, your in neutral, if not try rocking the truck back and forth. Maybe get it on a slight hill and coast slowly in neutral with the wheels straight, if it is flashing it is either trying to engage or dis-engage.

It wasn't a mechanical issue but a default described in the owners manual. Anyways the problem: 4hi light constantly flashing for the past couple months. When I hit the button to engage 4wd the light stops flashing for a couple seconds then goes back to flashing. I've driven around for a couple days with it engaged (on asphalt I know I'm sorry) just to see if it would move at all to no avail.

A quick reminder; Tundras have FULL TIME HUBS. this means that you must drive a few feet in either direction to FULLY engage them. Simply pushing the button doesnt engage the syetem completely. The transfer case may be in 4WD, but the hubs are not.
