The vehicle won't start if the battery is under -22f/-30c. that is an important distinction since the battery in inside the vehicle, well insulated, etc. It takes a prolonged amount of time sitting out in very cold weather to fully cold soak the vehicle and get the battery internals below -22f. Maybe a line was crimped. The Jeep was fine on road trips, climbing 8% grades without a hiccup. Now, it will overheat on a 25 mile trip in town. Update, my 4xe spent another three days in the shop. This time the overheating problem was finally solved. Honestly I didn't like them that much. After using them as steps for a while they deformed the car body sheet metal they are mounted to in such a way that the rails started to sag a little bit. Also they got pretty rusty after only 2 years.
