I love the Wilson Combat grip and i do think it will be the standard going forward but this is an incredible addition to the p365 and gives you the feel of a much larger gun. the weight is so nice and i imagine it will be a joy to shoot.1 - first, figure out what shooting fundamentals work for you - grip and stance among them (you have to be balanced and comfortable). Shoot more to settle those in as the foundation of everything else. The ergonomics/mechanics have to work for you (isosceles, weaver, modified weaver etc- each has pros and cons).Buy a standard P365, and the SAS slide. This lets you try the sights without committing to the gun, should you not like them. As with Paul' above ^^^, it's a whole lot simpler to buy or sell the slide than a whole gun. They will absolutely wear differently. 3) Just shoot it, you`ll be fine. I wouldn`t start worrying unless you see a cracked slide, or it stops working all together. Sig initially address this issue on the early production P365's by increasing the recoil spring from 19 to 20 pounds. The only time its ever happened with mine was when I was shooting factory reloads of 115 grain ammo. Failed to lock back twice in 100 rounds. It all depends on you as a person and the application of the firearm. If you live a relatively "normal" life that doesnt involve running into bad guys, or live in a bad neighborhood then the P365 would be a perfect gun for home defense. If you live in a rough neighborhood then maybe Id go with something a bit more substantial.Leads me to believe that the Striker being sold by Sig IS applicable to ALL P365's no matter the Age or Version. You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil.
